Collins Engine Generator Service is an independent contracting company based in New Mexico, working primarily in the telecommunications industry.
We specialize in all phases of telecom — all types of commercial electrical work and all phases of cell-tower construction — for every carrier. Our work spans new builds, stealth, and collocations, A/C and D/C power, rectifiers, inverters, UPS systems, and grounding.
We provide generator, transfer-switch, and fuel-system maintenance, testing, repair, and installation, serving critical communications sites across New Mexico, West Texas, and Arizona.
Our history
Founded 1999
Collins Engine Generator Service was founded in 1999 by Steve Collins. After two decades in the commercial and industrial electrical field, he started a business specializing in all phases of telecom — and over the years Collins broadened its horizons into complete tower builds.
More than twenty-five years later, Collins is now a part of the Streamline Group, bringing that same field-earned expertise to carriers and general contractors across the Southwest.
